As part of the ongoing research and development required of testing there can often be a need for companies to carry out accurate measurement of noise emissions.
This may be form the associated equipment or in the general vehicle noise.
Simulation of ‘free field’ environments can only be achieved by the use of special anechoic or semi anechoic chambers. In effect to achieve a room with at least 99% absorption at predetermined frequencies eg. 100HZ.
Envirosound have developed a standard acoustic wedge design manufactured from a non flammable light weigh rigid foam material which can be supplied in modular banks and adjusted to suit differing ‘cut off’ frequencies. The design and install of anechoic facilities can be readily carried out by Envirosound engineers with careful consideration to optimum room sizes, base structure design, actual cut off frequencies required and high performance attenuated ventilation systems.
